Daniel A. Laneres
Funeral Director
Since 1977, Daniel Laneres has devoted his life to providing compassionate and professional care in funeral service. He is a 1979 Cum Laude graduate of New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences, Boston Massachusetts. With over four decades of experience, he has guided countless families through their most difficult moments, always approaching his work with empathy, dignity, and respect.
Passionate about serving others, Dan sees his work as a calling. His exceptional ability to listen, support, and honor the unique wishes of each family has made him a trusted presence in the community. His commitment to excellence extends beyond his daily work—he has also served on the Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association Board of Governors, contributing to the growth and professionalism of his industry.
Outside of his career, Dan treasures spending time with his wife, Susan, his children and grandchildren. A resident of southern Rhode Island, he enjoys the tranquility of the ocean, hiking with his loyal dog, Tallulah, and exploring new places through travel. Whether at work or in his personal life, Dan is known for his warm heart, dedication, and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Michael S. Sladen
Funeral Director
Michael began his career in funeral service at William W. Tripp funeral home in 1975. He was fifteen years old when the late founder, Mr. William W. Tripp, took him under his wing and offered him guidance. Upon graduating from Tolman High School, Michael continued his studies at Mount Ida College where he studied Mortuary Science and graduated in 1982. He proudly acquired the William W. Tripp funeral home in 2004, and continues to dedicate his life to serving the families of Pawtucket and the surrounding communities.
Michael is a lifelong resident of Pawtucket and is most proud of his two sons, Stephen and Ryan. In his spare time, Michael donates his efforts to animal advocacy and enjoys spending time at his summer home on Cape Cod.

Michael S. Sladen

Michael began his career in funeral service at William W. Tripp funeral home in 1975. He was fifteen years old when the late founder, Mr. William W. Jason K. Landry
Funeral Director
Jason Landry has been a part of the William W. Tripp Funeral Home since the advent of his career in funeral service in February of 2000. He attended Funeral Institute of the Northeast (FINE Mortuary College) and graduated in 2007 with his degree in Mortuary Science. Since then, he has become an integral part of the funeral home and the families that the William W. Tripp & Cheetham Funeral Homes serve.
In his free time, Jason enjoys caring for his antique home, circa 1740 in the neighboring community of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. He also serves his community as the secretary of the Town of Rehoboth Historical Commission and as a member of the Town of Rehoboth Cemetery Commission. Jason enjoys working on anything mechanical, a trait he inherited from his late father, restoring antique stationary engines, farm tractors (both John Deere and Farmall) and antique automobiles, specifically Model A Fords.
Jason has also garnered the respect and esteem of his colleagues in the funeral profession throughout the State of Rhode Island and the neighboring communities of Southeastern Massachusetts. In the early days of his career, Jason not only worked at the William W. Tripp Funeral Home, but he honed his skills as a talented embalmer, having embalmed for many of the area’s funeral homes for over eleven years. Jason is an active member of both the Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. He served for nearly seven years on the RIFDA Board of Governors, and currently serves on several committees of the association, including the Public Relations Committee.

Matthew J. Burns
Funeral Director
Matthew was licensed as a Rhode Island Funeral Director in 2022 after graduating from the American Academy McAllister Institute in Manhattan, New York. He started working in Funeral Service in 2017 in Warwick, RI and as a Funeral Director for the William W. Tripp & Cheetham Funeral Home in 2025.
A proud "EP Townie", Matthew is a fifth-generation resident of East Providence, RI. He graduated from Sacred Heart School in East Providence in 2009 and Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick in 2013. Matthew also received his Bachelor's Degree in History in 2018 after completing studies at both Providence College and Rhode Island College.
Matthew currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Rhode Island Funeral Directors Association and as Chairman of the Membership Committee. He is also a lifetime member of the East Providence Historical Society.

Sara Collins
Advanced Planning
Sara was born and raised in N. Smithfield, RI, where she graduated high school in 2001. She attended college courses at the Community College of RI and served for a period of time in the United States Coast Guard before embarking on a long-called career in funeral service.
Licensed as a funeral director in Massachusetts, Sara is a 2006 graduate of Mount Ida College. A proud caregiver, she began her career in the Boston area and more recently in Scituate, MA as a managing director over the past decade. She is an expert in Jewish funeral customs and has planned and conducted hundreds of funerals in the greater Boston area of all faiths. She joined the team at Tripp and Cheetham Funeral Homes in 2025.
Sara is passionate about integrating the funeral home organically into the community and in recent years has focused her efforts solely on community education and advance planning.
Sara lives in Scituate, MA with her husband Jimmy and their 3 children and 2 dogs. She loves a good crossword puzzle and anything with a flamingo on it. She’s an avid reader and enjoys being near the ocean, taking trips to Disney and New Hampshire with her family and attempting to knit. She’s played piano since she was 7 years old and loves to play in her spare time.

Jacqueline Seney
Administrative Assistant
Jackie joined the William W. Tripp Funeral Home after over three decades in municipal government.
In 2025 she retired from the Town of Mattapoisett, MA as the Council on Aging Director, where she proudly served for over 13 years and built strong, respectful relationships with the community and her colleagues. Prior to that, Jackie was with the City of New Bedford in managerial positions of Procurement Officer, Contract Compliance Manager, and Human Relations Investigator.
A graduate of Bridgewater State College, she also served six years in the Massachusetts Air National Guard, stationed at Otis Air Force Base.
Having been responsible for funeral preparations of personal family members, Jackie brings empathy, compassion and respect to families during their difficult times. With her attention to detail, professionalism, and strong work ethic, she is an asset to the William W. Tripp Funeral Home.
In her free time, Jackie enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her two daughters, and walking her dogs, Ben and Linus. With appreciation for nature and learning new things, Jackie loves camping, hiking, and exploring new communities and their history. In 2022 she spent a month solo traveling cross-country round-trip with her dogs. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Somerset Lions Club, committee member of Keep Somerset Beautiful, and is a captain of her Bocce team.
