Pawtucket – Richard S.
Johnson, 95, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 in Providence.
He was the beloved husband of the late Annette M. (Martin) Johnson.
Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late William J. and Albertha H. (Richard) Johnson.
Army veteran, Richard served overseas during WWII.
He worked as a front end and brake specialist at the former Lapoint Wheel and Brake, in Pawtucket, and then for Apex Tire and Service Center in Pawtucket and Warwick.
He was a lifetime member of LeFoyer, Pawtucket, and enjoyed quahogging, taking walks, playing cards and spending time with his family.
He is survived by five children, Richard J.
Johnson of Warwick, Shirley A.
Ward and her husband, David, of Pawtucket, George D.
Johnson of Warwick, Nancy A.
Roy and her husband, Paul, of Cumberland and Elaine M.
Medeiros and her husband, Michael, of Pawtucket; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a brother, William Johnson of Pawtucket.
He was the brother of the late Gertrude Jarbeau and Margaret Tougas.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in St.
Joseph Church, 195 Walcott St., Pawtucket.
Interment with his late wife in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
