Rondeau (Formerly Mother St.
Maria Goretti, RJM), 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Leduc) Rondeau.
Yvette worked as an educator for many years as a sister with the community of the Religious Sisters of Jesus and Mary.
Yvette departed the community in 1990 and went on to work for many years at the St.
Cabrini Nursing Home in Yonkers, NY.
She had a passion for sports and was an avid fan of both the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox.
Yvette will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-seven years.
Yvette leaves two nieces, Suzanne Mailhot and her husband, Richard, of Pawtucket, RI, and Louise Pratt and her husband, David of North Charleston, South Carolina; a nephew, Paul Rondeau and his wife, Joanne Meleedy of Bristol, New Hampshire; her best friend of 40 years, Paulette Sansone of Yonkers, New York; a great niece; two great-great nieces and many cousins.
Yvette also maintained close ties to friends in the community she belonged to for so many years, the Religious Sisters of Jesus and Mary.
Yvette was the sister of the late Normand Rondeau, her sister-in-law the late Jeannine Rondeau and the aunt of the late Denis Rondeau.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m. in St.
John the Baptist Church, 69 Slater St., Pawtucket.
VISITATION will be held IN THE CHRUCH beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Teresa Cemetery in Nasonville will be private.
Flowers are respectfully omitted.
