Cumberland - Yvette “Memere” L. (Plourde) Lauzier, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016. She was the former wife of the late Russell B. Lauzier. Born in Rivierre Ouelle, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Etienne and Roseanna (D’Anjou) Plourde and the step-daughter of the late Jean-Francois Plourde who helped raise Yvette after her father passed away at an early age. She resided in Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland in 1964. Yvette was a waitress at the former Checker Club, Pawtucket until retiring and was previously a waitress at the former Melucci’s Wild Goose, North Attleboro. She was a member of St. Aidan’s seniors group. Yvette leaves two sons, John R. Lauzier and his wife, Mary of Fall River and Richard P. Lauzier and his wife, Cheryl of Smithfield; four sisters, Marie-Paul Moffette of Charlesborg, Quebec, Monique Plourde of Rivierre Ouelle, Quebec, Francoise Lessard of Gatineau, Quebec, and Lucille Valois of Montreal, Quebec; a brother, Jean-Louie Plourde of Rivierre...
