Pawtucket – Worthington “Sparky” Leonard, 92, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Gloria C. (Lefebvre) Leonard for 66 years. Born in Fairfax, Vermont, a son of the late Wesley J. and Jennie (Ward) Leonard, he resided in Pawtucket the past 67 years. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Infantry 85th Division in Italy and France. Sparky was employed by Brown & Sharpe, Providence for 40 years before retiring in 1981, and was a member of the International Machine Association. He was a member of the Fierlit-Korzen American Legion Post #79, Central Falls; St. Raymond’s Leisure Group; member and Past-President of St. Vincent de Paul Conference at St. Raymond’s Church and a former scout leader at St. Raymond’s Pack #33. He donated 20 years to Meals on Wheels; 24 years to the Rhode Island Food Bank and also donated time to the sick and elderly in nursing homes. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Susan J.
