Pawtucket – Willis J. Leonard, 67, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Mary R. (Beausoleil) Leonard for twenty-seven years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Edward A. and Loretta (McNally) Leonard. Will was a sweeper operator for the City of Pawtucket, Public Works Department for the past twenty-seven years, and had been awarded employee of the year by former Mayor Robert Metivier. He was active in sports as a child, and loved NASCAR and enjoyed fishing. Will was a member of the Dusza-Almeida VFW Post 2339, Pawtucket. He was a devoted husband and father, besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Willis, Richard and Christopher Leonard; six step-daughters, Nicole Martin, Robin Basara, Donna Tucker, Sheila Tucker, Kim Leo and Lisa Racine; a sister, Lois Thurston; twenty-four grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
