Pawtucket – William S. Walas, 76, fought a good battle and passed away with loved ones by his side on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Sheila A. (Goff) Walas for fifty-six loving years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Walter A. and Irene (Bozek) Walas. Bill had served in the United States Army Reserve. He was a civil engineer for the City of Pawtucket for twenty-seven years until retiring in 2006, and was previously a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry, which he very much enjoyed. Bill and Sheila had wintered in North Fort Myers, Florida from 2007 until 2017. He enjoyed spending time in his beloved garage and loved his 1941 Ford Panel Truck. He was a DJ known as “Graffiti Gold”. Bill was an associate member of Bristol County Street Rod Association and served as their DJ for over fifty years which he immensely enjoyed.
