William Snape

Seekonk – William Snape, 95, of Seekonk, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. He was born on September 3, 1922 in Lancashire, England and came to the United States as an infant, growing up in Pawtucket, RI. William served in the United States Army during World War II with the 1st Armored Division, 141st Signal Company in North Africa and Italy. He enjoyed sports and coached Seekonk Youth Basketball and Baseball for many years. He retired from J.J. Gregory & Son in 1986. William was predeceased by his parents, John and Hannah (Hindle) Snape and daughter, Winifred Lynn Snape. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jane (Dunlap) Snape of 68 years; two sons and their wives, Barry Snape and his wife, Jan and David Snape and his wife, Jo-Anne; four grandchildren, Nathan, Justin, Katie and Jaime; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Firth of Attleboro and several nieces and nephews.
