Smithfield – William Gary Alberg, 72, formerly of Pawtucket, and Glocester, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late William Gerhard and Ethel A. M. (Naumann) Alberg. William earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from URI and went on to become the proprietor and president of the Precise Products Co., Lincoln for many years, having retired in 2016. He was a longtime and active member of the German American Cultural Society (G.A.C.S), Pawtucket, where he was also a singer in the Schubert Choir. Bill was an active member and Scoutmaster for the Scouts (B.S.A) at both Troops 9 & 10, in Harmony, and Glocester, respectively. In addition to serving as a Scoutmaster he was a Unit Commissioner for the Narragansett Council. Bill leaves two sons, David W. Alberg and his wife, Sabrina, of Danville, NH, and Thomas D.
