Wilfrid Beauchemin

Pawtucket- Wilfrid Beauchemin, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Rita (Genest) Beauchemin. They would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on July21st. Born in Pawtucket, Wilfrid was the youngest of 5 children of the late Philippe and Marie Rose (Hetu) Beauchemin. Wilfrid was a United Stated Army veteran of the Korean War and went on to a career as a talented carpenter. He worked for many years as a finish carpenter and retired as an estimator for an industrial cabinet company.  Wilfrid was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of the former St. Cecilia Church in Pawtucket. He served for many years as president of the St. Cecilia Seniors Club and organized many day trips, outings, and social events for the Senior’s. He also served as lector, eucharistic minister, usher and greeter at Masses.
