Wesley P. Morey, Sr.

Morey, Sr., 80, of Ft.

Myers, Florida and formerly of Seekonk, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born in Putnam, Connecticut, a son of the late Hartley D. and Diana (St.

George) Morey, he resided in East Providence, Rhode Island and Seekonk, Massachusetts before moving to Ft.

Myers, Florida twenty-five years ago.

Wesley was a veteran of the United States Air Force, graduated from Bryant College and worked as a Terminal Manager for Yellow Freight System, Inc. for many years.

Wesley always had a smile on his face and a story to share.

An avid New England sports fan throughout his life, he also enjoyed woodworking, golfing, boating, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Wesley was the loving husband of Catherine (McDonald) Morey.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his five children, Wesley P.

Morey, Jr. of Coventry, Rhode Island, Steven H.

Morey of Cranston, Rhode Island, Kerri M.

Morey of Boston, Massachusetts, Melissa A.

Moreau of Richmond, Rhode Island and Kenneth Morey of Wrentham, Massachusetts; a stepson, Gregory Aubin of Cape Coral, Florida, a stepdaughter, Gayle Aubin of Attleboro, Massachusetts; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Hartley Morey of Ft.

Myers, Florida; and two sisters, Barbara McCarthy of Swansea, Massachusetts and Patricia McGarty of North Providence, Rhode Island.

He was predeceased by his sister, Faith Moura.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours on Monday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.
