Walter Zuba

September 19, 1940 — July 18, 2022

Pawtucket – Walter Zuba, 81, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022.

He was the beloved and devoted husband of Mary Ellen (Keenan) Zuba for 53 years.

A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Walter and Stella (Kolek) Zuba.

Walter served in the United States Army and then began a long career in the automotive industry with Pierce Trucking.

He later worked for the Pawtucket School Department for many years as a custodian and a school bus driver, and was loved by all of the students he met.

Walter loved working in his yard, and one could always find him out there moving or planting or mowing something.

He spent many hours in the pool at the health club and loved swimming with his grandchildren.

He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, watching most games with his wife, cheering on the teams.

Most of all he loved being with his family especially his four grandchildren.

He was a "Superhero Papa" to them, spending as much time as he could, playing games, taking walks, and passing on his vast wisdom of the world to them.

His legacy lives in them.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves two children, Daniel Zuba, and wife Jennifer Zuba, of Cedar Park, Texas; Kerri (Zuba) Kelly and husband Jonathon Kelly of Braintree, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Lauren, Addison, Emersen, and Luke; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
