Pawtucket – Walter Rothwell, Jr., 91, a devoted and loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene M. (Burns) Rothwell, who passed away on January 13, of this year. Walter and Irene were married for 55 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Walter, Sr. and Hanna (Piggott) Rothwell. Walter was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He worked in quality control for Leviton Corp., (American Insulated Wire and Northeast Cable) for 35 years until his retirement many years ago. Walter was a former member of Pawtucket Congregational Church. He leaves a devoted son, Alan N. Rothwell of Pawtucket; five nieces and three nephews. He was predeceased by all of his siblings. VISITATION will begin on Thursday at 4 p.m. followed by Services at 6 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will be private.
