Pawtucket – Walter “Wally” B. Johnson, Jr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 after a courageous 3 year battle with throat cancer. He was the beloved husband of Pamela M. (Bora) Johnson, they would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in May. Born in Cranston, he was a son of Pearl M. (Langlois) Johnson of Pawtucket and the late Walter B. Johnson, Sr. Wally was a 1971 graduate of Tolman High School and served in the RI Army National Guard from 1972 to 1978. He was a member of the Lafayette Club, Pawtucket and the Filibuster Club, Cumberland. Wally enjoyed fishing; golfing; darts; billiards; basketball and baseball. In his youth he received many awards and trophies from the Pineview Little League. He was an avid fan and follower of all the New England sports teams. Wally was a former employee of Cumberland Engineering, South Attleboro for over 25 years and he retired from Hindley Manufacturing, Cumberland in 2010 due to his illness.
