Seekonk, MA – Vivian A. (Keable) Kibbe, 81, formerly of Harrisville, RI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald C.

Kibbe for fifty-four years.

Born in Pascoag, she was the daughter of the late Nelson J. and Florence (Giard) Keable.

Vivian graduated from Burrillville High School and spent her early years in northern Rhode Island.

She was a faithful communicant of St.

Patrick’s Church, Harrisville, and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Seekonk.

Vivian worked in the textile industry as a bookkeeper prior to retiring.

She and her late husband embraced the opportunity to help tend to their grandchildren in their retirement.

Vivian was an example of faith and perseverance as she overcame many physical ailments, including management of her diabetes since childhood.

She had an artist’s vision, creating wreaths and arts and crafts with great imagination for family and friends.

In her younger days, she made her own dresses - including her high school prom gown - and mended clothes for the neighborhood.

She always loved fashion and kept up with the latest styles.

She delighted in the times she spent dancing and laughing with family and friends, including her cousins, with whom she had a lifelong bond.

She is survived by her two beloved children, David P.

Kibbe and his wife, Gwen, of Cambridge, MA and Lynne K.

Mello and her husband, Craig, of Seekonk, MA; five grandchildren, Sydney, Luke, Lyla, Penelope and Olivia; two brothers, Dennis and Russell Keable, both of Burrillville, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

She was the sister of the late Marcel, Rene, and Nelson Keable, Jr.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Dr., Seekonk.

Interment with her late husband will follow at St.

Stephen Cemetery, Attleboro.

Visitation and floral tributes are respectfully omitted.

Memorial donations to Joslin Diabetes Center, would be appreciated.
