Virginia R. Murby

Seekonk – Virginia R. (Hill) Murby, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J.

Born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Gustave and Bertha M. (Carney) Hill, she resided in Cumberland, RI, before moving to Seekonk in 1959.

Virginia was a 1944 graduate of the Rhode Island College of Education, and taught in the North Providence School system for twenty-five years before retiring.

She was a member of the Rhode Island College Alumni Association and the East Bay Retired Teachers Association.

Earlier in her life, she was active in the Seekonk Stage and also played summer stock.

She leaves her children, Gustave H.

Murby and his wife, Jean of Medfield, MA, Erik E.

Murby of Scituate, RI and Sanna V.

Huebschmann and her husband, Andy of Chilton, WI.

She also leaves her grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Ethan, Nathan, Morgan and Catherine Murby.

She was the grandmother of the late Gustave Murby, Jr. and the sister of the late Gustave Hill, Jr.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment will follow at Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls.
