Rumford – Viola Mynarski, 106, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late John and Sophie (Szafir) Mynarski.
Viola worked for many years as a lace mender at the former Seekonk Lace in Pawtucket, until her retirement.
She also worked as a part-time hairdresser for the former Sophie’s Beauty Salon in Pawtucket.
A devout Catholic, Viola prayed the rosary daily and was a longtime parishioner at St.
Teresa Church in Pawtucket and an active member of the parish’s senior citizens club.
She enjoyed sharing lunches with family and friends, visits to Cape Cod and in her younger days, helping her mom care for her younger siblings.
Viola will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past one hundred and six years.
Viola leaves a brother, Thomas Mynarski of Rumford; a nephew, John Mynarski; a niece, Patricia Mynarski both of Rumford and several cousins.
She was the sister of the late Walter, John and Florence Mynarski.
VISITATION will be held on Friday, August 1st from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
