South Attleboro – Vincent “Red” H.

Keane, 79, a retired firefighter, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012.

He was the beloved husband of Joane A. (King) Keane, the couple had been married for fifty-eight years.

Born in Central Falls, a son of the late John J. and Margaret (McKenna) Keane, he resided in South Attleboro most of his life.

Vince was a Korean War U.S.

He was a firefighter with the Attleboro Fire Department at South Station, South Attleboro, for thirty-four years before retiring in 1998.

Vince was a communicant of St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church.

He loved his family and was especially proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he leaves four children and their spouses, John T. and Brenda Keane of Washington, New Jersey, Timothy V. and Carey Keane of South Attleboro, Catherine M. and James Famiglietti of Irvine, California and Mary F. and Alan Jackson of South Attleboro; eight grandchildren, Erich, Christopher, Kaytie and Timothy Keane, Nicholas and Caroline Famiglietti and Matthew and Emily Jackson; two brothers, John B.

Keane and Francis Keane and his wife, Patricia all of South Attleboro and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Eileen Kimbrough, Mary Holmes and Gerald Keane.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 18 Baltic St., South Attleboro.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro.

VISITATION will be Thursday 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.

Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 will be appreciated.
