Victoria Melikian

March 6, 1922 — June 20, 2016

Providence - Victoria (Sirabian) Melikian of Sharon Street in Providence, went into the arms of the Lord on June 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New York City to Levon and Sandought Sirabian on March 6, 1922, she moved to Providence after her marriage to Souren Melikian in 1949.

Vicky was well remembered for the many years that she and her husband shared ownership of John’s Market in Pawtucket.

In her later years she worked at LaSalle Bakery in Providence, retiring at the age of 82.

Her passing is predated by those of her parents, her husband and her son, Gary Karaken Melikian.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Anahid Petrarca, grandchildren Melanie (Patrick) Portas of Portland, ME, Sheila (Christopher) Thibert of Lincoln, RI, Christopher (Michelle) Petrarca of N.

Attleboro, MA, Sara (Michael) Giuli of Tampa, FL, Gregory (Leslie) Melikian of Weaverville, NC and Paul (Cristina) Melikian of Tampa, FL.

She was also blessed with 9 great grandchildren who she considered her richest treasure.

Vicky was a hard working woman unequaled in her hospitality and charm.

She loved her family passionately and gladly spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with thoughtful affection.

From birthdays to holidays, weddings to babies, she remembered and celebrated the special moments in the lives of those she loved.

We will celebrate the gift of the 94 years we shared with her and know that she now rests peacefully in the company of those she loves.

Services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by interment at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the American Heart Association, P.O.

Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 will be appreciated.
