North Attleboro – Thomas J. Shamp, 75, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Carmelle V. (Brousseau) Shamp for nearly forty-five years. Born in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late James, Jr., and Agnes (Kavanagh) Shamp. Thomas relocated to Rhode Island upon his assignment to the former Our Lady of the Valley Monastery in Cumberland. Thomas worked for Red Hed Supply & Manufacturing in Lincoln as a purchaser, and prior at J.H. Lynch & Sons in Cumberland as a truck driver and purchaser. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Cecilia Church, Pawtucket, and was actively involved with their Boys Scout Troop 28. Thomas embraced his family and enjoyed coaching for his sons’ baseball and basketball little league teams.
