Theresa C. Porter

Cumberland – Theresa C. (Durand) Porter, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred M. Porter. Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Rose A. (Vandale) Durand, she moved to Pawtucket in 1963 and then to Cumberland in 1995. Theresa was the Export Manager for the L. G. Balfour Company, Attleboro for sixteen years until 1977; she then worked as a legal secretary for Allstate Insurance Company, Providence for 10 years until retiring in 1991. She leaves a nephew, Richard G. Chabot and his wife, Georgette of Cumberland; a niece, Denise J. Fitzgerald and her husband, David of Thompson, CT; five grandnephews; three great-grandnieces and a great-grandnephew. She was the sister of the late Gaston M. Durand, Jeanne H. Godin and Pauline G. Chabot. VISITATION will begin Wednesday at 8 a.m. at the WILLIAM W.
