Theresa A. Pacheco

Providence – Theresa A. (Jorge) Pacheco, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Maximiliano Pacheco for forty years.

Born in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Zoilo and Mireya (Castillo) Jorge.

Theresa immigrated the United States in 1987 and moved to New York where she attended Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.

She relocated to Rhode Island in 1992 and settled in Providence with her family.

Theresa continued her education at the University of Rhode Island where she studied Education and earned a bachelor's degree in 2000.

She worked as an elementary school teacher for Providence Public Schools for over twenty years.

Theresa loved shopping, music, dancing, being by the ocean and was a global traveler.

Her family meant the world to her, and her grandson brought the greatest joy into her life.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah Pacheco of North Smithfield; a son, Maximillian Pacheco and his partner, Ryan, of Springfield; a grandson, Levi Torres; four siblings, Angel, Zoilo, Altabeiry and Miguel Jorge; dear friend, Maxima De Pena and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 791 Potters Ave., Providence.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
