Theresa Martley

Woonsocket – Theresa (Daniels) Martley, 95, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of the late William F.

Born in Taunton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Louis Daniels and Jeanette (Dupuis) Taggart.

Theresa was lovingly cared for by the Dupuis family after her mom passed when Theresa was only eight years old.

Theresa graduated from Taunton High School in 1946 and worked for many years in the School Lunch Program at both Jenks Junior High School and Potter-Burns Elementary School in Pawtucket.

She was also an active member of the Community Theater and Singers Unlimited of Rhode Island Chorus.

Theresa was a host for the PawSox Families and Up with People performers.

She also held support groups for people affected with CFID (CFS) and was nominated for a Jefferson Public Service Award.

Theresa will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-five years.

Theresa leaves a son, David Martley and his partner, Lynne, of Cranston, six grandchildren, Christina, Shannon, Robert, Christopher, Jonathan, and Sean; a brother, William Taggart of New Jersey; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was the mother of the late William and Wayne Martley.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Sunday, August 4th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

SERVICES will be held at 3 p.m. immediately following the visitation here at the funeral home.

Interment at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery with her late husband will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907 would be appreciated.
