Theresa Y. Beland

Pawtucket – Theresa Y. (Morin) Beland, 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving husband and daughters on Thursday, March 17, 2016.

She was the beloved wife of Leo G.

Beland, the couple would have celebrated their seventy-first wedding anniversary in August.

Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Joseph and Dora (Lapierre) Morin, she resided in Pawtucket the past sixty-six years.

Theresa was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for her daughters, where she met many of her lifelong friends.

She was a homemaker and also handled the accounting aspects of her husband’s business.

Theresa was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing holiday meals for her family.

Theresa and Leo loved to dance and spent many evenings enjoying Country Western and Ballroom Dancing with their friends.

They were active in St.

Cecilia’s Senior Club, Pawtucket and St.

Mary’s Senior Saints, Seekonk, and were also involved in many LeFoyer Club activities over several decades.

Besides her husband, Theresa leaves three daughters and their spouses, Laurette and John Donnelly of Warren, Vermont, Doris and Normand Berthiaume of Cumberland and Rita and Robert Clark of Melbourne, Florida; a sister, Rita Zacharie of Pawtucket; a brother, Roland Morin of Sun City, Arizona; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.

Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

VISITATION will be Monday 4 to 8 p.m.
