Susan E. Tansey

Seekonk – Susan E. (Thompson) Tansey 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026. She was the wife of the late John J. Tansey, Jr., and the mother of the late Edward G. Tente.

Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Edward R. Thompson, Sr. and Katherine V. (Adams) Thompson. Susan had resided in Seekonk for many years.

She was a cost accountant at Texas Instruments, and enjoyed reading, gardening, rug hooking, embroidery and doll collecting.

She leaves her sister, Araxy K. Byron and her husband, Raymond Byron, of Raynham, Massachusetts. She was the aunt of Bradley Byron, Cori Harris, Michael Byron and Johnathan Byron, and the great-aunt of Raymond Harris, Addison Byron and Jett Byron. She was the sister of the late Edward R. Thompson, Jr. and Alexander R. Thompson.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 12 p.m. followed by Services at 1 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Seekonk Cemetery. For online condolences visit: TrippFuneralHome.com
