Steven R. Bongivengo

Rehoboth – Steven R. Bongivengo, 52, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 18, 2012 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 20 years, Cheryl (Passmore) Bongivengo. Born in New Castle, PA, he was the son of Peter R. and Dorothy (Dalton) Bongivengo of New Castle, PA. Steve’s true joy in life was his music. An avid and talented musician/composer/arranger, Steve attended Berkley College of Music, Boston and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Music Composition. Steve brought joy to many through his music. He was a staunch fan of all Pittsburg sports teams and loved Penn State football. In addition to his musical work, Steve was employed by Numark Industries, Cumberland. Besides his loving wife, he leaves two sisters, Andrea (Bongivengo) Englehart of Boalsburg, PA and Amy Bongivengo of New Castle, PA and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
