Steve L. Xifaras

Attleboro – Steve L. Xifaras, 94, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Koufalis) Xifaras for sixty years. Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Louis and Stella (Gerakaris) Xifaras. Steve was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed at Balfour, Attleboro for many years until retiring. Steve was a proud member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was a hard worker. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Louis “Lou” S. Xifaras and his wife, Maxine, of Mansfield; two granddaughters, Marika Xifaras and Amanda Xifaras; a brother, Robert Xifaras; a sister, Jenny Konstantakos and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Michael Xifaras, George Xifaras, Dr. William Xifaras, Kay Brady, Georgette Nichals and Mary Cote.
