Stephen P. Garrity

East Providence – Stephen P. Garrity, 56, of Rumford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Born in Providence, he was a son of Virginia A. (Gagner) Garrity of Riverside and the late Leo V. Garrity. Stephen worked as a union painter; officer; trustee and instructor of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He was a lifelong sports fan; an avid fan of football and loved animals. Besides his mother, Stephen leaves three sisters, Joyce Fiorentino of Cranston, Kathleen Garrity Fox of Riverside and Jean Davis in Pennsylvania; a nephew, Timothy Renaud; three nieces, Laura Renaud, Jennifer Garrity and Erin Wolf and many cousins and dear friends. He was the brother of the late David Garrity. VISITATION will begin Friday at 5 p.m. followed by Services at 7:30 p.m. in WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
