Pawtucket – Stella A. (Kowalski) Bedard, 92, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J.
Bedard, a former teacher at Tolman High School.
Born in the Hebronville section of Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Kaczowka) Kowalski.
Stella resided in Attleboro and Petersburg, Virginia before settling in Pawtucket in 1947.
She was a 1937 graduate of Pawtucket High School, now Tolman High School and attended the Sturdy Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
She was the co-owner of the former Teachers Pet Restaurant, South Attleboro until 1955.
Stella was a former member of the Lincoln Country Club and its bowling league.
She was a former Assistant Brownie Leader and a Unit Leader at the former Camp Blackstone, Cumberland.
She leaves her daughter, Mary-Jane Nunes and her husband, Arthur; two grandchildren, Joshua and Lindsey Nunes; a great-grandson, Ray LaPorte; a sister, Agnes Lonczak; a brother, John Kowalski and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Phyllis Niemiec and Lucy Fedo.
VISITATION will begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Mt.
