Ssgt. James Francis Lee

Pawtucket – SSgt. James “Soaring Eagle” F. Lee, 73, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William J., Sr. and Helen M. (Walsh) Lee.  James enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964 and served his country in the Vietnam War. He retired in 1984 as a Staff Sergeant after twenty years of service. He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps and other historical memorabilia. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved cats, especially Brandi.  He had Indian Status and Citizenship with the Sovereign Wampanoag Republic of Pokanoket.   He will be remembered as involved in his community as he volunteered for several charitable organizations.  He is survived by a sister, Maureen A. Kelly and her husband, Henry, of North Providence; a goddaughter, Elizabeth A. Kelly-Maher and her husband, David, of North Providence; a nephew, Brian H.
