Spiro Kacharo

Pawtucket – Spiro “Speed” Kacharo, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 10, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Impagliazzo) Kacharo for fifty-six years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Denno and Adrienne (Tsotakos) Kacharo. Speed was a Korean War United States Army veteran. He loved spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Steve A. Kacharo and his wife, Alyssa of North Providence; a daughter, Dimitria M. Monroe and her husband, Wayne of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Zachary, Kyle, Ryan and Joshua Kacharo and Megan Monroe; a sister, Marion Pollock of Pawtucket; a brother, Ted Kacharo of Warwick and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Kacharo. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 11 a.m. in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket.
