Sophie A. Mazeka

East Providence – Sophie A. (Sedach) Mazeka, 97, formerly of Island Ave., Rumford, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was the wife of the late Esador “Zip” Mazeka. A lifelong resident of Rumford, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Eva (Jawarski) Sedach. Sophie was a graduate of Bryant College and was employed as the Office Manager at Rau Fastener & Findings Company, Providence for forty-two years until retiring. She was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church for over seventy years and a member of St. Margaret’s Leisure Group. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul Sedach, Jr., Jennie “Jean” Giuliano, Stephen, Walter and Fred Sedach. Her funeral followed by interment at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery was private.
