Pawtucket - Simonne R. (Godin) Goitz, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles P. Goitz. Born in Pawtucket, Simonne resided in Pawtucket most of her life until moving to Putnam, Connecticut to be closer to family. She was the daughter of the late Moise and Jeannette (Morin) Godin.
Simonne worked for many years as a secretary at Healthtex and subsequently as an operating room tech at the former Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket until her retirement. She was a longtime parishioner at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Cecilia Church) in Pawtucket, where she served as a past president of the women's club, and a eucharistic minister. Simonne was a talented cake decorator and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Simonne leaves her sister-in-law, Roberta Godin of Pascoag; a nephew, David Godin and his wife, Lisa in Florida; two nieces, Debra Servello and her husband, Edward, of Pascoag, and Donna Melanson and her husband, Edward in South Carolina, and two godchildren, Linda Rubinson and Gail Gustafson. She was sister of the late Robert S. Godin and the godmother of the late Ronald N. Contois.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Tuesday, May 19th beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by SERVICES at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
