Shirley A. Risho

Seekonk – Shirley A. (LaCroix) Risho, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of the late William G.

Risho for fifty-seven years at the time Mr.

Risho passed in 2016.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Wallace J.

LaCroix and Mabel G. (Simpson) Ciccone.

Shirley worked for nearly thirty years for the Seekonk School Department at both the North School and the Aitken School where she assisted with the day-to-day care and education of the many students.

Above all, Shirley was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who put family ahead of all else.

She loved caring for her home, her garden and her beloved pet cats and dogs.

Shirley enjoyed walking, cooking, and baking, entertaining family and friends alike, and she also loved to sing and dance.

She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past eighty-four years.

She leaves two daughters, Alyssa M.

Picano of Cranston and Juli A.

Grant and her husband, Terry, of Rehoboth; a son, William S.

Risho and his wife, Jennifer, of Warwick; seven grandchildren, Zane Doucette, Brendan Grant, Erika DeBalsi, David Picano, Vanessa Lee, Logan Risho and Ava Risho; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Calderiso of East Providence and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Katherine DiGiulio, Eva Weber, Wallace LaCroix and Vera Rhault.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. directly at St.

Ephraim Syriac Orthodox Church, 215 Washington St., Central Falls.

The Funeral Liturgy will begin promptly 11 a.m.

The interment prayers and ceremony at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery will be private.

Flowers are respectfully omitted.
