North Attleboro – Scott Donald Salois, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 in his home.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Donald M. and Virginia D. (Stumm) Salois of North Attleboro, MA.

Scott graduated in 1987 from Tolman High School, Pawtucket, and continued his education at Stonehill College in Easton, MA, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Scott graduated from the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy in 1993 and joined the Pawtucket Police Department after graduation and retired in 2003 after ten years of dedicated service.

During his time on the force, he received multiple awards to include The Medal of Valor, The Medal of Merit, as well as several department commendations.

He also spent time as a Field Training Officer.

After retirement Scott had a successful career in the insurance industry as a field liability agent with Naughton Insurance, and Magna Carta Insurance.

Scott also earned the status of 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Delaney Council #57.

Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his three children, Braden Scott Salois and his mother, Christi Simon, of Pennsylvania, Marianna Violet Salois and Daniel Gregory Salois, and their mother, Shala Ann Salois, of Seekonk, MA; a brother, Gregory John Salois and his wife, Trissy, of Easton, Maryland; a nephew, Cole Stephen Salois; a niece, Lilly Carolina Salois, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was the paternal grandson of the late David and Anna (Nadeau) Salois, the maternal grandson of the late Phillip and Aurette (Duphily) Stumm, nephew of the late Monique Vass and Douglas Stumm, and cousin of the late Marc A Stumm.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 12:00 p.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.

Interment with his late maternal grandmother and great-grandparents in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O.

Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 in memory of his Tantante, Uncle Dougie, and Nonni would be appreciated.
