Russell J. Sweeney

Pawtucket – Russell J. Sweeney, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Albert T., Sr. and Edith M. (Noones) Sweeney. Russell was a US Army Korean War Veteran, having served with the 21st Field Artillery Battalion. He worked for Pawtucket Dye & Bleach and Microfibers, Inc. as a dye chemist until his retirement. Russell leaves his former wife, Sandra Sweeney of Attleboro; three siblings, Shirley A. Sweeney, Agnes M. Verrier and Fred L. Sweeney all of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Evelyn C. Atwood, Edith F. Fuller, Albert T. Sweeney, Jr., Marion A. Hamanne, Marietta M. Dwyer and Ronald J. Sweeney. Services will be private. Flowers and calling hours are respectfully omitted.
