Russell J. Levasseur

Pawtucket – Russell J. Levasseur, 87, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Lillian M. (Phaneuf) Levasseur for sixty-three years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Treffle Joseph and Nora (Roberge) Levasseur. Mr. Levasseur was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He was employed by the Band-Age Company, Central Falls for over thirty-five years before retiring in 1990. Besides his wife he leaves a son, Ronald R. Levasseur and his wife Denise of Pawtucket and a grandson, Tristan Levasseur and his wife Jennifer of Quebec, Canada. He was the brother of the late Raymond Levasseur, Eleanor Sabourin and Estelle Monast. His funeral with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Leo the Great, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket.
