Russell P. King

Russell Paul King, 97, of East Providence, passed on Saturday, July 8, 2023 with family by his side. He was the adoring husband of the late Irene M. (McGinn) King for seventy-four years. Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of the late Manuel S. King and Lydia F. (Brown) King. He lived in East Providence most of his life until retiring and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, for thirty years. He returned to East Providence seven years ago. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army-Air Force for two years as a B-29 tail gunner. Throughout his career as a businessman, he along with Irene were the proprietors of several companies, most notable; King Fuel Oil, Nationwide Termite Control, Rhode Island Pest Control, Superior Fence Company, Brown Moving & Storage and Risk Free Home Improvement until retiring.
