Gomes, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of Eugenia S.
Born in Cape Verde, he was a son of the late Apolo and Alice (Duarte) Gomes.
Rosino was a veteran of the U.S.
Army and worked as a union carpenter for many years before his retirement.
As Rosino’s faith was very important to him, he was a devoted member of the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Rumford and served on the church board.
Above all, Rosino was a devoted and loving family man.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves his mother-in-law, Angela Teixeira; two sons, Apollo Gomes and his wife, Nicole of Exeter and Matthew Gomes of New York City, NY; six grandchildren, Isaiah, Dwayne, Desmond, Angelia, Annabella and Iana; five siblings, Claudio Gomes, Adriela Fernandes, Egas Gomes, Claudina Farman and Jule Gomes-Noack and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Roger Gomes.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 10 a.m. in Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1275 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford.
Interment with Military Honors will follow in Rumford Cemetery.
VISITATION will be Friday 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Bethany Church of the Nazarene will be appreciated.
