Rehoboth – Rosemary (Bodell) Lavoie, 69, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Gerard Lavoie of Rehoboth, MA for forty-nine years. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Joan (Kelley) Bodell.
Rosemary was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She had worked for the Palmer River School in Rehoboth as both a reading aid and assistant librarian. Blessed with many artistic talents, Rosemary enjoyed creating works of art, quite often from “rock hunting”, for both family and friends. She was an avid golfer and skier who enjoyed her time in New Hampshire on Loon Mountain and socializing with the Thursday Night Out Club. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish in Seekonk, MA and taught CCD there for many years.
Alongside her husband, she leaves behind her beloved children, Erin Fisher and her husband Scott of Bridgewater, MA, Gerard Lavoie II and his wife Athena of Rehoboth, MA, and Ryan Lavoie and his wife Julia of Attleboro, MA, grandchildren, Owen Fisher, Chace Fisher, Wesley Fisher, Rosella Lavoie, Violet Lavoie, Mckenna Lavoie, and Charlotte Lavoie, siblings, Kelley Bodell and her partner Lynn Disley, Joseph Bodell and his wife Cathy, and Billy Bodell and loving cousin and best friend, Susan Hagan and her husband Tom.
The FUNERAL will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00AM from the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00AM at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Coyle Dr. Seekonk, MA.
VISITATION will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 4:00PM-7:00PM.
