South Attleboro – Ronald A.
Messier, 82, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of Pamela S. (Perry) Messier.
The couple had been married for sixty years.
Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Gerald and Irene (Deshaies) Messier.
Ron resided in Central Falls before moving to South Attleboro in 1978.
Ron and his wife, Pam, have been very active in animal rescue.
In 2010 they rescued Little Orphan Annie, who was stranded amongst the whizzing cars during a rain storm on Route 1A and in 2018 they rescued Luci-Luv.
To celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary they adopted Kelce and Dakota, two blind Belgian mares that they spared from slaughter and are now located at the Smokey Chestnut Rescue Farm, Norton.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Randi M.
Tramontano and her husband, Gerald, of Chester, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Taylor M.
Tramontano of Miami, Florida and Julian G.
Tramontano of Chester, New Jersey; a sister, Anita Sawyer and her husband, Paul, of Nevada; a sister-in-law, Gina M.
Gabai of Providence; a brother-in-law, Moshe Gabai of Providence; nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was the brother of the late Gerald Messier, Jr. and Cecile Jasionowski-Strybuc.
Services will be held on Friday, June 21st at 1 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
