Ronald "Papa" E. Young

Pawtucket - Ronald E. “Papa” Young, 77, of Pawtucket, RI, Passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. Born in Taunton, MA to the late Arthur and Mary Young. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecile (Spano) Young, they shared thirty-five years together. Ronnie retired after a dedicated career with the City of Pawtucket. His love for his family was immense, especially for his wife, his children and grandchildren, the latter of whom might argue they were his favorites, that is, until his great-grandchildren burst on the scene instantly, and without a doubt becoming Papas Favorites. Ronnie was a man who loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was famously known for organizing his own “surprise” birthday party, showcasing his playful sense of humor. Ronnie enjoyed treating his friends and family to meals when they would go out to eat, always insisting that he be the one to pick up the check.
