Seekonk - Ronald J. Campanelli, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Susan M. (McGrath) Campanelli for fifty-seven loving years. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Nicholas B. and Evelyn (Petrarca) Campanelli.
Ron was the proprietor of the former Ron's Pizza Palace in Pawtucket for many years until it closed several years ago. Subsequently Ron worked for Ferland Corp., until his retirement.
He was an avid golfer and coordinated many outings and tournaments at Pine Valley Country Club in Rehoboth over the years. Ron was also generous with his time serving as a coach for many of the area's local youth sports teams and lending a hand to family and friends alike anytime help was needed. He enjoyed tinkering with tools and "fixing" things around the yard and in his home, often calling on his son-in-law, Glen to stop by and help.
Ron will be lovingly remembered by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him as one that would give you the shirt of his back.
Besides his loving wife, Ron leaves a daughter, Lisa M. Johnson and her husband, Glen, of Seekonk; two siblings, Robert Campanelli and his wife, Patricia, of Pawtucket, and Beverly Castro and her husband, Joe, of North Providence, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dennis Campanelli.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend CALLING HOURS on Monday, February 23rd, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. concluding with SERVICES at 3 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
