Roland "The Mailman" M. Belanger

Pawtucket – Roland “The Mailman” M. Belanger, 87, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna C. (Boulais) Belanger. Born in Central Falls, the son of the late Marcel and Medora (Doucette) Belanger, he resided in Pawtucket since 1949. Roland was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He had been a letter carrier for the Pawtucket Post Office for forty-three years before retiring in 1984, and had also been employed at the former A & P Supermarket. Roland is a lifetime member and Past-President of LeFoyer; member of the Postal Retirees Branch 55 and a former usher at St. Cecilia Church. He leaves five children, Roland F. Belanger and his wife, Ann of North Dighton, MA, Claire F. Slack-Rathbun and her husband, Leonard of Attleboro, Suzanne E. Garceau and her husband, John of Seekonk, Ronald E.
