Pawtucket – Roland G. LaPalme, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Theresa I. (Dupuis) LaPalme for 65 years. Born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Dona V. and Marie L. (Boucher) LaPalme, he was raised in Seekonk and Pawtucket. Upon the death of his father at a young age, he spent summers, holidays and weekends with his late uncle and aunt, Pasquale “Peck” and Emma (Boucher) DePietro and cousins, Louise (DePietro) Bossardt of Mansfield, MA and the late George DePietro on their farm on Brown Ave. Seekonk. The time spent on the farm gave him many happy memories and some hilarious stories. Roland attended St. Cecilia’s School and was a drummer in the marching band and a member of the Acrobatic team. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran stationed in Washington State. When his late son, Edward was young he coached CYO Little League for St. Cecilia’s.
