Kolb, 86, passed away comfortably at home with his family and dear canine companions by his side.
He was the beloved husband of the late Gail (Moody) Kolb.
With whom he had a wonderful marriage and cared for her for 10 years with a terminal illness.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Everett and Sophie (Swool) Kolb.
Roger was a decorated United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, having earned the rank of Master Sergeant prior to his retirement from the Air Force after 26 years.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved four-legged friends.
Roger will be joyfully remembered by all whose lives he has touched over the past eighty-six years.
He leaves four children, Michael Kolb of Pawtucket, Carol Esser and her husband, John, of Green Valley, AZ, Joseph Kolb and his wife, Carrie, of Wickford and Susan Kolb Gribbin of Pawtucket; Roger is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Ashley, Mikayla, Shannon, Brandon and Adrian of whom he was very proud.
He was also the proud great grandfather of twelve great-grandchildren.
Services with Military Honors will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
Interment will follow at Newell Burying Ground, Attleboro.
VISITATION will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
