Robert "Bob" T. Hughes

Pawtucket – Robert “Bob” T. Hughes, 77, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Rita D. (Cabana) Hughes for fifty-five years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Rita M. (Bedard) Hughes. Bob worked his entire career for the Pawtucket Times having retired as the composing room manager. He was involved in organizing the first annual Dragon Boat Racing event in Pawtucket and was active in fundraising events for The Times' Merry Christmas Fund during his career at the Pawtucket Times. He had a passion for performing magic and was a longtime member of International Brotherhood of Magicians. Bob also loved listening to Smooth Jazz music, spending time outdoors especially in the Berkshire mountain area, and also watching his grandchildren participate in many organized sporting events.
