Attleboro – Robert U.

Hilaire, 76, of South Attleboro, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015.

He was the beloved husband of Jeanne E. (Mayer) St.

Hilaire for 55 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Eddie and Eva (Drolet) St.

Bob was a veteran of the U.S.

Navy having served aboard the USS Daly (DD-519) in the 1950’s.

He was the proprietor of Mayer Oil Service from 1965 until his retirement in 2003.

Bob was an avid fisherman, and loved boating on Narragansett Bay.

He belonged to the RI Saltwater Anglers and the Pawtucket FOPA for many years.

Bob and his wife enjoyed vacationing in Newport, RI and were longtime members of the Edgewood Yacht Club.

He also belonged to many bowling leagues in Cranston and Pawtucket and volunteered as a coach for the Darlington National Little League for many years.

Bob will be missed by all who knew him, especially by his dear friends at Don’s Lunch, Pawtucket, where he kept his unofficial “office”.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves three children, Linda G.

Sears of Cumberland, Kenneth R.

Hilaire and his wife, Kelly of Hollis, NH and Lori J.

Rota and her husband, Greg of Westboro, MA; seven grandchildren, Derek and Matthew Sears, Lauren, Ryan and Jeffrey St.

Hilaire, Darci and Allyson Rota; two brothers, Eddie St.

Hilaire of Pawtucket and Richard St.

Hilaire of Brooklyn, CT and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral with Military Honors will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.

TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.

Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave.

Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.

VISITATION Thursday 5 to 8 p.m.
