Pawtucket – Robert T.
McCartin, Sr., 78, of Pawtucket and Narragansett, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, September 25, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of Norma J. (Butler) McCartin for 40 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Alice (Roach) McCartin.
Bob was a United States Navy veteran and worked for many years as a barber, having begun his career as a barber in the navy.
He was the proprietor of Bob’s Barber Shop on Broadway in Pawtucket for many years.
Above all, Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family.
Besides his beloved wife, Bob leaves four children, Sharon Lesage and her husband, Paul of Seekonk, Diane McCartin-Santos and her husband, Jeffrey of Seekonk, Robert McCartin, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Pawtucket and Michael McCartin and Jennifer of Raynham; six grandchildren, Jason Lesage, Jessica Kauffman, Stephanie Lesage, Meredith McCartin, Haleigh and Brenden Santos; two brothers, Frank McCartin of Etna, ME and James McCartin of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Thomas McCartin.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St.
Cecilia Church, 755 Central Ave.
Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
VISITATION will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.
