Cranston – Robert Hymers, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Nellie” E. (Neil) Hymers.
Born in Newcastle, England, a son of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Hall) Hymers, he resided in Central Falls before moving to Cranston thirty years ago.
Bob served in the British Army during World War II, he worked on the docks in London and also did reconstruction.
He was a toolmaker at A.
Cross for over twenty years until retiring and was previously employed at Lambert Engraving, Attleboro.
Bob was an active member of the South Attleboro Assembly of God and an avid golfer.
He leaves his children, Susan Hawkins and Robert N.
Hymers; grandsons, Gregory and Robert Hawkins; former son-in-law, Bryan Hawkins all of Cranston; sister, Nellie Waugh of England; niece, Eileen Sullivan of Gloucester, MA; nephew, Alan Waugh of England and numerous other relatives in England.
Services will be held Sunday, March 26th at 1 p.m. in the South Attleboro Assembly of God, 1052 Newport Ave.
VISITATION will be Saturday, March 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W.
TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
